… because we want surviving future generation learn the bloody lesson from our tragedy. The ability to better anticipating the possible future scenarios is the most important achievement of our current fossil fuel civilization boom-and-bust era. But it will be easily lost when civilization breakdown. Fate, religion will likely be the popular explanation of the collapse, while human will learn nothing and continue ignorant of what actually bring us to this pity state.

The best way to pass this precious heritage down the post-collapse world is to educate as many as we can about our knowledge of sustainability. However, don’t rush until we lose the quality of education. One of the best way I can think of right now is introduce it as university course to students from all around the world.

Therefore, even though the collapse is seemingly inevitable, education about sustainability is still worth to pursue.
